topic Change pointer data not generated for Customer hierarchy KNVH table in Application Development and Automation Discussions

Hi

We have a ZDEBMAS change pointer message type - created that contains a reduced set of fields when compared to the std DEBMAS. Now, we want to track changes to customer hierarchy fields - KNVH table fields -

We add KNVH table fields to the ZDEBMAS msg type definition in BD52. We have maintained the other entries in transactions like BD50 ( activated ZDEBMAS ) and then BD61 ( maintained ref link to DEBMAS ) . Now even though we update the hierarchy details ( std hierarchy ) for a customer, there is no change pointer data generated for hierarchy -

Is this expected standard behaviour - that no change pointer data is generated for customer hierarchy ? Or are we missing any entries /something ?

This is a time critical problem - any correct pointers helping/leading us to solve this issue will be rewarded rightaway....

Karthink,

You have to use BTE's (Business transaction events) to track customer hierarchy changes in the change pointers table. Unless you do that, you can not have change documents created for customer hierarchy changes.

Check this link

Thanks,

Message was edited by: Somen

Somen

Great.....Just the thing I was looking for - I am assuming that you can get change document data and not change pointer data eventually -

Anyway , even if we have change document data that is good enough....

I am awarding you full points - for the right direction you have pointed me to....

Karthik.M
