calling another ABAP pgm from Documentation

Hi All,

I have maintained a document for 1 ABAP pgm using SE38. Now in that document I want to provide some link/button which if taken should triger another ABAP pgm.

Is this possible?

Hello,

U can use sumbmit.

On the click of event submit the program which u want to go.

Example.

SUBMIT ZABAP011 WITH BR_BUKRS IN BR_BUKRS

ZABAP011:Is the program name

Please check and let me know if u face any problem.

Actually I am not clear with ur query, I gave befor reply to move from 1 report to the other.But mentioned document,what do u mean by that.

I have maintained document for 1 ABAP pgm using TCODE SE38. In this document I have information about the usage of the ABAP pgm. The user will get to see the pgm info in this document.

Now in this document I want to give a link or some button to user if he wishes he can select that and the system will triger another ABAP pgm.

Hope I have made myself clear. In case something is not clear, please let me know.

Hello Pankaj

Have a look at message 1X(350) using transaction SE61.

If you change to the SapScript editor it looks like that:

When you display the message it looks like that:

Run the program <b>RS_STREE_OBJECTS_TO_REQ_GET</b>. It will complete the piece list.

The report name is highlighted in red. If you change to the SapScript editor you will see the following:

<DS:REPO.RS_STREE_OBJECTS_TO_REQ_GET>RS_STREE_OBJECTS_TO_REQ_GET</>

This will give you a "hotspot" executing the report (RS.<report name>. The name after the ">" is how it is displayed in the message.

In the "Insert" menu you have several functions to link message text to SAP objects, e.g. transactions.

Could you please explain me how to see message, 1X, number 350 in SE61. I tried but I always get error message as "Message 1X 350 in all languages does not exist".

Dear Pankaj,

In the Documentation , In Insert - > Link, if you select, it will give a popup.In the Documentation Class, Select "Report/Function Group, Logical DB", in Program/Module Pool, put the Program Name And put the text u want the link on , say, 'Goto this Program' in Name in Document.

Save & Activate.

Adding to Samson's note, you can select the option for Online Execution ..in that case if you click on the link it would trigger the execution of the ABAP.

Select document class = "Message". Next set Id = '1X' and Number = '350'. Now you should be able to display the message.

If you still do not see this message, then this message class might not exist in your SAP release. We are on SAP enterprise (4.70, basis 6.20).
