Problem in PR User Exit

Hi all,

While creating a PR (After pressing Save), within the user exit, I am checking whether the Material No. is empty, and if so I am triggering an error message. After seeing this error message the user should enter the Material Number and press Save and now the data should get saved.

The problem is, after the error message is trigerred and when I enter the Material No. and press Save, the system is giving a popup saying 'No Data Changed' and the PR is not created. I tried to change fields other than MATNR and press Save, but still the same popup is coming.

Kindly help with a solution as this object got to be delivered today.

Which user exit are you using?

Use BADI instead,

BADI: ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST.

Method: POST or PROCESS_ITEM.

use the same logic that you have used in the exit and it will work fine here.

Other Soluction for this is make material number madatory field by taking the help of MM consultant.

I this this will solve your requriement 100%.
