Hi Santosh,

A record of receipts and issues of excisable materials, as kept by depots.

RG23D is a excise register that has to be maintained in a depot (Here 'D' stands for Depot). It's a Statutory requirement in India from Excise point of view.

These depots will get materials from their manufacturing plants and post a goods receipt for the outbound delivery, then an entry will get created in this register and when selling off the materials to the customers, an entry gets created in the register.

Fortnightly or monthly these registers has to be submitted to the excise authorities.

RG23D register maintained at Depot Plants for excisable goods. This register keeps record of receipts and issues of excisable materials, as kept by depot plants.
