Hi Experts,

I have a VB Application(EXE) returning a value

I want to execute the application frm ABAP and get the return value

Now I am using WS_EXECUTE to execute the application but i am not able to capture the return

value. Can anyone suggest suitable procedures to execute an external application and get the return value

Are there any other Function modules that can do the job

his FM is obsolete. You could use the replacing FM

GUI_EXEC (This starts a File or Program Asynchronously with WinExec).

Try the Method EXECUTE of the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.

Try calling the FM ITS_EXECUTE.
