problem in smartform

HI friends,

Right now i am working on an Invoice and i have a problem in form output, that it is printing the first page correclty and giving second page as blank(with header and footer) and the third wiht the data(for particular cases only).

can you please tell me various situations where this problem occurs.

good

check wheather the print priview is comming perfectly or not , if in the print preview is coming perfectly than check out th printer setting .There must be some problem in the print setting.

check out if there is any setting in smartforms to give the next page of first page as we do in scripts

Can you elaborate your Smart form layout a bit more. And which page is Main Window located?

Myne is a form which displays Invoice service order..

and the main window is located in both first and next pages.i am unable to find out the problem why it coming like that.for some orders the out put is correct only.

pls give your id i will send you the print preview.

Hi Anil,

The problem may be with PAGE PROTECTION. Had you used any folder in the MAIN AREA of the TABLE in the MAIN WINDOW to protect the item lines? If so remove the tick on the PAGE PROTECTION option of the FOLDER. Or else you might have used TABLE LINE page protection and a row in your output is larger the main window size.

<b>Page Protection for Tables</b>

Use

Tables with application data are usually displayed in the main window because the number of lines to be output depends on the amount of data to be transferred. <b>If there is not enough room in the main window, the output is continued on the next page.</b> The automatic page break in the default setting does not take into account whether the current table line has already been output completely or not. A table line that is output over several lines may therefore be on two pages.

Data protection for table lines prevents this from happening. You can also protect several table lines against automatic page break, which is particularly beneficial for the output of multiline tables.

Hi Anil got ur Mail But I' want the XML file of the form so that i can see the structure of the form.

This XML file u can download from the smartforms trnx under Menu Utilities and download form. Please send that form may be i could figure out whats going wrong by looking the structure of the form.
