ABAP QUERY

hi,

how to check in which package query is assign.

if it is local and how to assign package to it.

for any local object, say if it is a program, go to se38 and from menu, Goto->OBject Directory Entry. press the pencil sysmbol to go into change mode.

give the package name instead of $tmp .

Queries do not require a transport request and when they are created, they do not get created inside of a package or development class. If you take the generated program name of the query and check it in SE38, you will see no Object Directory Entry. You can transport queries and infosets from system to system using program RSAQR3TR

Hello Sachin,

Do you mean package as INFOSET(in mySAP ECC) / Functional Areas. If so, go inside to the query and in menu select Extras Display Infoset(in ECC client) or Func. Area (4.6 X versions).

To trasnport Query/Infoset(FA) or Assigning user groups you can go to SQ02 and press the transport button (truck icon) in the screen, remove the test options and choose releveant options to upload and down load. Be sure to check the client u want to download and client you want to upload. For Eg: if you wana to tranport a Query from Dev to Quality, you download the same from Dev and log in to STG then go to SQ02 and upload the same. All the best.
