Change pointers

Hello to all the experts. This is my first post and I hope I can find an answer.

I need to send only a few selected fields from MARA to an external system on a daily basis. I figured out that change pointers would be the right way. Now the issue is I know how to activate change pointers for a message type but the issue is that I need to send only selected fields and also only the finished and semi-finished goods which are related to field MTART of MARA table.

Kindly someone help me out.

Thanks for the info.

But the other problem is that I need to send only the finished/semi-finished goods.(Field MTART).

you could create filter object for this purporse.

you need to create the filter object at the distribution model.

Once the model has been created if you expand all the nodes then you could see no filter objects active.if you double click it then it will enable u to create the filter object.then you should select the field for which you need to create the filter.say for eg you can choose the field werks if you wanna create filter for plants..

Hi ,

You can try the transaction BD53. Here you can create your own reduced message type and define the fields you want to send only And then later on you can use this message type in your distribution model while declaring the partner profile.

Try this out. It should work. Hope this cud be of some help.

Other way is to create filter objects at distribution model.

Change Pointers

I know how to change the description of a material using ALE Change Pointers.

I will give the following few steps

1) Tcode BD61---> check the change pointers activated check box

save and goback.

2) Tcode BD50---> check the MATMAS check box save and comeback.

3) Tcode BD51---> goto IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 select the checkbox save and comeback.

4) Tcode BD52---> give message type : matmas press ok button.

select all what ever you want and delete remaining fields.

save & come back.

5) 5) go to Tcode MM02 select one material and try to change the description and save it

it will effects the target systems material desciption will also changes

6) goto Tcode SE38 give program Name is : RBDMIDOC and Execute

give Message type : MATMAS and Executte
