Regarding Authorization Objects

Hi All,

I have one question regarding Authorization Objects.

I have one requirement where by user has asked following in FD.

Only allow access to orders that the sold-to party are authorized for.

I have two fields in selection screen as

Order Number [VBAK-VBELN]

Sold-to Party Number [VBPA-PARVW Use SP as the key]

Is it that i have to create authorization object for PARVW.

Then in that case i have created one Authorization object name [ZPARVW] & ID as [PARVW] in SU21 under one class.

Is that what i need to do!

Then what does below statement means:

Only allow access to orders that the sold-to party are authorized for.

What does Basis guys do with my authorization object!

What i need to ask them while sending a mail!

How we will achieve above Functional requirement!

Can anybody give inputs into this issue!

HI,

you have to ask basis to add this authorization object to the Authorization profile of user roles. so you can use this in your code to check validilty of users.

Hi,

Creating 'ROLES' to users is ok.

But what does following statement means!

'Only allow access to orders that the sold-to party are authorized for.'

Hi Prasad,

i dont know how to approach this issue, bcos SP is linked with Sales AREA , So if i have autho. to Salesarea A so i can create / display all the orders of SP which are Under this sales Area. So check on Sales Area.

So better to get more inputs from ur functional persion .

orelse create object with Sales Area + SP party .
