How to find out Smartform node hierarchy using sap table data

Hi All,

I am in process of correcting some complex smartforms, where I need to find out nodes and modify code inside it from the smartform hierarchy/tree structure. Will it be possible to fetch that hierarchy info from some SAP Table ( like TR info is stored in TRDIR ) instead of scrolling endless list and reading all the names?

Pl note: I am using services>print and then search in the web page but further want to increase the speed of finding nodes using some custom program.

Out of Curiosity,may I know why you want to find the nodes through program instead of manually going to SMARTFORMS and navigating to the node and modify the code.

Precisely, It does not make sense until smartform is multipage and with >1000 nodes at different hierarchy levels. Knowing the hierarchy before the commencement of modification becomes necessary as the only information I have in hand is node name and code to be modified.

Agree, This case is rarely seen.

This smartform was created long time ago and is heavily modified over the time with changing functional requirements.

I am not at liberty to disclose further details, but help is much appreciated.

I'd suggest to run the FM tied to the Smartform in debugger. They call some kind of XML transformation and runtime FMs, so this kind of information is definitely stored somewhere. It's just getting it into a helpful and human readable format might be a challenge.
