BDC master maintainance

Hi all

i need to upload a single field.when i m using bdc or LSMW, data is getting over written in rest of the fields so can anyone help me out with ny other way to upload as this is a master maintainance.

Hi Zarina,

When you are doing BDC on change transaction codes<b>(<xx>02)</b> obviously other data will be overwritten, so u need to hard code the BDC Program and fill only the field which you want to be modified in BDC Internal table and then update, i am sure this works out fine.

the generated BDC code will have addressed all the fields that are available in the screen which you have recorded. So comment out those codes which relates to the other fields then the field that you want to be updated. This should solve your problem.

Hi Zarina,

If the Data is getting overwritten then.

1)Check the Screen Field Name in which you want to enter the data.

2)Comment the rest of fields.

This much code is enough for entering entering data in screen.

Ex:


  PERFORM bdc_dynpro      USING 'SAPLWBABAP' '0100'.<b> "Screen Details</b>

  PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'BDC_OKCODE'
                                '=NEW'.        <b>"New Program</b>  

PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'RS38M-PROGRAMM'
                                'zztest_se38'. <b>"Field Content for Program Name</b>

Post your code if you still have porblems.
