Automatic Application No' in custom screen

Hi All

I have developed a custom screen, where user enters data into it.

As soon as screen displays, autogenerated 'Application No" should display in a I/O box.

After entering required fields, ,he clicks "SAVE" Button. Now at this stage, all fields should become DISPLAY mode.

How to tackle this scenario in ABAP code perspective...??

Hi,

In the PBO of the screen get the MAX value of the Application NO from table where it's stored and pass the value to the screen field.

Group the screen fields you want in the display mode to a screen group say GRP1

While clicking the SAVE button loop at the screen

if the screen group1 = GRP1 then make the screen-input = 0. and modify the screen.

i have been successfull in making screen elements into DIPLAY mode.

Now can anyone eloberate how to generate Application No in detail...??

Hi,

Consider u have a table(zappl)in which ur application no(appl_no)is stored. now use this code.

Data v_appl_no like zappl-appl_no.

module scrn_<scrnno>_output.

select max(appl_no) from zappl into v_appl_no.

zappl-appl_no = v_appl_no.

endmodule.

write the select in ur PBO.pass the variable to the ur screen field will hold ur appl no.

1) create with trx SNRO - number range object for your appl.-no.

2) increase (get) a number with fm number_get_next

Can anyone explain me in little detailed steps to get autogenerated Application No on my custom screen..??
