Warning for Duplicate Material description creation at Basic data1 screen in T-code MM01

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to display the warning message at Basic data screen MM01 t code while user creates duplicate material description?

Link for user exit

I tried with EXIT - EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001-MGA00001 but it triggers only while saving the document and unable to display the warning message in this exit.

Alas Customer Exit (MGA00001) EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 or BAdI BADI_MATERIAL_CHECK->CHECK_DATA are executed too late, and only raise an abort message... So you could consider to find some implicit enhancement in PAI like in a FM like MAKT_MAKTX where a MESSAGE E/W is allowed. (Also this FM memorize texts by language in an internal table, so you would easily prevent raising the error message a each execution)
