workflow task in web

can any one help.

I want to make a workflow task as web enabled.

The task is an approval task. This task when executed by the user should open a web page with all data populated on this web page. when an action is performed on this page ( like approve or reject ) the work item should get completed.

Welcome to SDN.

<b> 1 </b>. R u using ITS/BSP ?

<b> 2 </b>. From where you want to trigger the web page ?

If you are looking for BSP(Business server Pages).You have to design the pages..and that BSP URL shd be called from your Mail content.

Thanks for your reply.

We have WAS in place.

The work item will appear on the portal UWL and In sap INbox, and it is from here that i wanna call the custom web page with all data populated into it. How can i do them? How should my Workflow task be defined? Can I make it a normal task and call the web URL?

I also want to know which approach is the best, 1. to create a new BSP page or 2.Using the existing JSP pages (currently in use ) or 3. create SAP FORMS with web transaction. Are there any other options too.

I would also like to know what are configs and setting needs to be done on the server side. Is there anything i should do on the BOR for this task or can I use BOR EXTSRV and method PROCESS.

Thankyou very much.

The link helped me to understand SAP FORM in WEB.

What i want to know is, is this the same as calling a web page ( BSP/JAP/ASP ).

We will be executing the work item from the Portal.

So any link or any input from your side as how to Proceed and what approach to follow.
