interactive report issues

I need to develop a report on utilities, user search the data on selection screen , the result will be displayed in output as summary (contract numbers) , i need to add another button on slection screen , it user clicks on that button remaining logic should be executed..

please let me know how can i achieve this functionality ? is it interactive report? any standard programs in sap ?

To add a 'button' on selection-screen, look at statement SELECTION-SCREEN (FUNCTION KEY) to add a 'button' on list processing, look at statement SET PF-STATUS (List)...about a certain nostalgia for the '90s and their technology...
