Usage of Rawstring

Hi All,

I have an internal table which consists of name-value pairs. The value column is of type rawstring.I want to pass any value( character, integer, date etc.) to the value field. My questions are :

1 ) Can I do it just passing the value to the rawstring type field? e.g. ls_name_value-value = 'ABC' or ls_name_value-value = 1.

2 ) When I want to convert from the rawstring to a typed variable( character, integer etc. ), can I do it with a simple move ? e.g. lv_integer = ls_name_value-value ?

If so, it seems that I must also know the type of the variable to pass to( e.g. lv_integer must be of type i)

3) Does anyone have an example coding / documentation about the usages of rawstrings( which are xstring in ABAP ).

Hi Mrutyun,

The link you sent is about the declaration of constants in an ABAP program, it does not explain anything about XSTRINGS.
