Direct Input :Error when oprning the error file on app. server

Hi ,

I using the program RCCLBI03 an error file is being generated. When I try to open the error file generated it displays a message that " Unable to display this file

..."

I am opening the file from the app. server.

Hi avinash,

1. CASE-SENSITIVE

2. The file name (along with full path name)

are case-sensitive.

3. Make sure u enter the correct full path and name.

4. To verify,

use the tcode AL11,

to browse the application server directories and files.

The file is being created on the App. server.

But when i try opening the file from there it displays the message " Unable to open..."

Possibliy first you need to get authorization for the server folder you need to access.

The File is created , but when i try clicking on the file name it opens the file and displays unable to display the file contents..

1. just debug

and check whether the file name

in the variable inside the program,

is correct or not

2. we can check at this point of code.

start-of-selection.

if not data_app is initial.

application server

<b> open dataset ds_name for input in text mode

encoding default.</b>

if sy-subrc > 0.

message e105(lx) with ds_name.

endif.

Hi Avinash,

Just checked the program.

1)If there are no error records(the application server file size is 0), then you will no be able to open.

2)If application server file has data, then it can be viewed.

Can check this by putting some data in debugging mode.
