Readability.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Code reusability&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Modularization makes the program more legible and readable. ie It's noting but building up Perform....FORMS for the execution of "lines of code" . &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However it may effect your performance if you have not Modularized them properly. As a best practice and for better performance, sap code executes from top to bottom. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then writing the FORM--ENDFORM in the beginning and making the PERFORM call from the bottom is not a best practice of writing code and that will effect the performance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As a better practice to improve the performance, it is suggested to write the FORMS below and closest to the place from where it is called.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;rgds,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;TM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
