Table lock logs

Hello Everyone,

A table XYZ is getting locked so i cant able to update records in table XYZ sometimes. i wanted to know which process/report/job is locking it and how much time it is been locked and what are the records been inserted while its been locked.

Go to SM12, enter the table name, clear out your name and you will get the user locking the table. Then go to SM50 and see what they're up to.

Or you can go to ST01 and start a Lock Operations trace.

Hello,

locks according to the SAP lock mechanism (> SM12) or database locks? If 2nd, which DB system is used by the SAP system?
