I am doing a BDC for FB70(Customer Invoice). I am doing it for, say Co. Code 'ABCD'. My problem is it is working fine in 'forground' and 'error only' Options under Session method. but when i go for 'Background' the program is actually looking for different Program & screen. The recording gives the program as 'SAPMF05A' and screen as '1200'. But in Bcakground mode it is asking for 'SAPLACHD' and screen '1000'. Actually SAPLACHD is used to reset the CO. Code. That means you have to click on the application tool bar button 'Company Code' to trigger SAPLACHD.ie from 1200(of SAPMF05A) you r going to 1000(of SALACHD). But in Background mode the system is asking for screen 1000 as the first screen. The log gives 'no screen fields assigned for program SAPLACHD screen. 1000'. How can I overcome this problem?

Hello,

Include the code for Changing the company code in your BDC everytime.

Do recording with chaning company code and add that code of program SAPLACHD screen 1000' into your BDC. SO, you don't have to bother about the forground or background processing.

The idea works fine when you have to really change the co. code. i.e. if u have to change from 'ABCD' to 'XYZ'. But if the program has to transfer records for the same co. code consecutively then it throws error. It has to do something with enjoy transactions?

i think in spro there is option for seting company code fix. consult ur functional guys.....

other wise when u do the recording in fb70 ther is button for company cod u fill company code for every data.

Hi,

You can check whether the program is running in background or foreground using system variable

SY-BATCH.

ABAP System Fields - BC - ABAP Programming - SAP Library

Once you get whether the program is running in foreground or background, you can set the screen accordingly in BDC.
