    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the field has a parameter defined (Check the Technical Details of the field), then you can usually get the value using the ABAP statement "READ PARAMETER ID'XXX' into field y."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ensure you put this statement immediately after your "call transaction" statement.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This won't work if your BDC session processed by program RSBDCSUB. You can only try to read it from the BDC session log records, but it has to be in a message that is returned for this to work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Nelson&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I recorded a session in transaction and created a function based on this record. Is it possible to read the value of an field (which is filled by SAP)? &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I need something like the opposite of the form "bdc_field". &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks in advance&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Martin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
