    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Everyone ,&lt;/P&gt;
  &lt;P&gt;I added an input field to m screen , I have adjusted the input field to give an error if it is empty. &lt;/P&gt;
  &lt;P&gt;(you can see from the picture below)&lt;/P&gt;
  &lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG class="migrated-image" src="https://community.sap.com/legacyfs/online/storage/attachments/storage/7/attachments/2023503-capture.png" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
  &lt;P&gt;it works very well ! But ..When the input field is empty, I still get the same error when I want to close the screen.&lt;/P&gt;
  &lt;P&gt;I have to fill in the input field to close the screen.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
  &lt;P&gt;(you can see from the picture below)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

  &lt;P&gt;how can i fix this ? I want to turn off the screen even when the input field is empty.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In SAP GUI, the close button of modal windows is linked implicitly to the &lt;STRONG&gt;function key F12&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Create a Function Code of type Exit (means it ignores any input, and mandatory fields are not checked), assign it to F12, and that's done.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Another solution is to have your input fields "recommended" instead of "mandatory".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Choose the solution which is best for you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
