Differences of Transaction Codes desitinating the same transaction

Hi,

After looking through this article, I am a bit confused the difference of tcodes avaibale.

Here is an example of Edit Company Code Data.

I have know this function as tcode OX02.

When looking at Table CUS_INGACH and searching with IMG_ACTIVITY "SIMG_CFMENUSAPCOX02", you will receive another tcode S_ALR_87007537.

Furthermore, the tcode shown in the status bar is V_T001.

All the three go to the exact same transaction screen, which is of course locked for simultaneous transaction. What are the differences of these different tcodes?

V_T001 is the name of the maintenance view. It is not the transaction. I do not see it anywhere are labelled the transaction.

OX02 front ends SM30, to use view V_T001.

S_ALR_87007537 has an interim popup for two activities - only the Edit Company Code Data goes to the maintenance view of V_T001.

You can also go to SM30 and maintain the entries in V_T001.

All different ways of getting to the same point - V_T001 maintenance.

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for your response. It is good to know that the View V_T001 is the destination of all the tcodes, thouth the paths are different. FYI, here is the status bar pop up, telling me V_T001 is also a tcode to access Edit Company Code, which works fine in the box in the top left corner.

I've no idea why that is happening. It doesn't on my system. It could be an that your SAPGui version or SAP version has an error, as it should always should the transaction.
