SAP ABAP developer edition - invalid access key

Hello experts

I installed SAP ABAP 7.52 SP04, developer edition.

I can't create a function module because my access key is invalid.

When I want to create a program or a class so it is allowed with the same access key.

The access key I used is 35408798513176413512, but I tried to put another access key that also no match.

I logon the system with the DEVELOPER user.

Each access key is tied to a single installation / object / release so you cannot merely reuse it, for sure.

I have no problems creating objects in the customer namespace.

in the installation guide there is a chapter "ABAP license key". Did you do what is described there? Transaction SLICENSE has to be displayed similar to this:

can you give more details about what exactly goes wrong resp. how it does like when you try to create a function module 'Z_TEST'?

And after that in the next screen, the fail is cooming.

The same process in se38 work as well, I entered the access key, and it's working.

Adding to Andreas answer here, I second the "no reuse"...

Customer namespace should work just fine, SAP namespace should need registration in the support portal and a key for the object you want to create. Not sure how that is working for the demo systems. Never tried it. Did you manage to register and get the key via the link in the Register object dialog, where you enter the key?

Hello,

the problem is the function group you entered (/IWBEP...). This is not in the customer namespace, and therefore an object key is required to change it. Not to be mixed up with a developer key!

Create a function group starting with Z, use that one for your function module and you will be happy!

Thanks, Jan I understood my mistake.. its works well now 🙂

I am a sap HR consultant so I am a freshman with ABAP development.
