Assuming you want to delete the line from the LOOP table, you need to save sy-tabix to a local variable and then use this after the READ because it will be undefined following a failed read.

The developer error looks pretty obvious, but I'm afraid that the case was never tested and the case needs to be studied more in depth. Please ask the ABAP developer.
