Analitycal Reporting - Data Extraction with TimeUpdated Filter

Hello,

I would like to extract data from Ariba using Analytical Reporting - View Management API. I am using view template.

https://eu.openapi.ariba.com/api/analytics-reporting-details/v1/prod/views/ContractWorkspaceFactSystemView?realm=[MyOrganisationRealm]&filters={"updatedDateFrom":"2020-12-01T00:00:00Z","updatedDateTo":"2021-01-31T00:00:00Z"}

It returns records, but I can see that TimeUpdated in the Ariba is delayed. The change in the contract was done manually by the user on 20 December 2020, the TimeUpdated shows 16th of January. In the meantime no updates were done by user.

LoadCreateTime": "2020-12-20

LoadUpdateTime": "2021-01-16

This is why, when using filters, we do not get the relevant/current data from Ariba.

Could you please support? Why the date in the system is delayed?

Hi Anna, Analytical Reporting API returns reporting data based on data loads from transactional data.

User modification date is never part of the Analytical data. TimeUpdated here is not the time when user last modify the record, it is the time for when the record is updated in Analytical database. Data loads happens 6 hours after the previous load completes.
If real time data is needed, Sourcing Reporting should be utilized, not Analytical Reporting. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your reply. I tried to use Sourcing Reporting and I got the same output as before - with wrong update dates.

So if I understand correctly, we are not able to extract the exact time when user made an update in Ariba. Is this correct? Or is there any other API which I could use?

Hi Anna, I'm very sorry for the late reply. Was unaware that you have responded.
Last Modified date is not supported from Reporting API. Update date is when the object got updated in our system, this could be a user modification or system.
