Hi,

Is there any difference in performance if I

1. Set in the SAP gateway and add header for application/json so all the output will be converted into JSON

2. add additional json param URL ($format=json) at the end of the odata service url,

No, there's no difference.

These are only two ways to tell the framework to render the response in json rather than using atom/xml.
