hi to all,

while runnning BDC for VA01 , During recording i cant reterive values of texts(tabstrip) on Display header document details.

how to do that?

in which table/object these text are getting stored?.

ie.,

Form header

Header note 1

Header note 2

Form supplement text

Shipping instruction

Comments

texts are stored in tables STXH & STXL

try to query them

use <b>read_text</b> FM

Hi,

The Header text will be stored in table STXH. In order to get back these texts we need to call the function Read_text in the program.

Hope this helps in resolving the problem.

Hi Jyothi,

Press F1 Button on the filed for which you want to view the table name and click on the technical info button... by which you will know as to which table that filed belons to ... But as an info Header Text are stored in STXH Table.

You cannot run a BDC to store texts, you can use SAVE_TEXT function to save the texts for the sales order.

Double click on the text and in the menu Go To--> Header, you can find the details of the parameter that need to be passed to the function.

So, after calling the BDC which creates the sales order, use the order number and call the save_text function followed by COMMIT_TEXT function.

However, I am not sure why you are not using the BAPI (BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2) to create the sale order. If you use the order and the text will be saved simultaneously.

Hi,

it is not advisable to Use BDC for uploading the text . SO try to use The FM SAVE_TEXT or CREATE_TEXT Fm don't forget to USE COMMIT_TEXT Fm. and if you want to upload the text along with other data then You try to SHift to BAPI instead of BDC use this <b>BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2</b>
