Hello Experts

We have a scenario in our system where a few partner functions are determined based on the ship to party. We have set up the VOPAN configuration with sequence "2" based on the Ship-to and it works fine. However, the user frequently changes the ship-to party code manually based on customer PO. The concern is that the dependent PFs do not get RE-DETERMINED according to the changed ship-to. The user has to update these PFs manually. This is becoming a process issue owing to user mistakes with wrong partners being captured in many orders.

Though we have suggested error messages at the time of order_save_pepare exit, it still does not suffice the requirement fully, because the user does not usually know the correct values of the PFs from the ship-to party master data. A clear productivity expectation is that these dependent PFs should be auto-determined when the Ship to is changed (which I understand does not happen in standard SAP unless the sold-to is changed).

I noticed a blog where save_doc_prepare has also been suggested for this through modifying XVBPA. However, the catch is that the user does not get any visibility of the auto-changed PFs unless the order is saved.

Is there an appropriate plug-in / BADI / enhancement where this can be achieved as soon as the ship to partner is changed by the user real-time.

Appreciate your help and response.

Thanks

Arijit
