Can anyone explain me How to debug smart form in particular window ??

Have Program lines in one of the objects (Say Text) of that Window, and write 'Break-point' there.

Or go to the source-code of the form and use CTRL-F (when in your smartform use 'F8'/execute to see/check the functionmodule that contains the code of the form)

Hi Lakshman

The right way is to code a BREAK 'USER' in your window code which will stop at the code written in the specific code in window. If its just the value you want to check what is being passed then you should put a breakpoint in the Global Definition>> initialization Tab by coding BREAK user or by putting a break point in the FM at statement PERFORM %GLOBAL_INIT

Hi Lakshman,

it's not preferable to use hard-coded break points in the form.

Indeed, debugging Smartforms is a quite easy task,

As Patrick mentioned, get the FM name associated with the form and place the breakpoint there.

Steps:

1. open the form, goto Environment-> Function module name

2. Copy the FM name and open that FM via SE37

Search for the code where you need to place breakpoint and then it's normal as like debugging a report.
