How to make a single row editable based on user command?

hi all,

i have displayed the alv, added 2 buttons in alv toolbar i.e change and save, when user clicks on a particular row and click on change then that row should be in editable mode...how can i achieve this in normal alv report?

Yes This program is good but it has used classes and and i wanted to edit the normal alv i.e using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.

nik7189 Why? Why do you want to use and obsolete and depracted FM?
There is any specific reason to do it?

I didn't find any sample on internet related to normal alv FM i could only see achieving this functionality using classes so i tried another way by displaying 2 ALV's one is the main and another will be displaying in modal box after edit user command in and that alv will contain only 1 record in editable mode and then saving modified data in the database.
