Testing a method in SWO1 business object method

Hello,

Can any one please explain how to test a custom method in a businees object BUS2007 which was delegated.

Please suggest steps.

Hi,

Go to--> SWO1 --> give object type --> click on test button -->> create instance / click on instance button-->provide key fields -->it will open all the methods --> select custom method and do F8 or execute.

I hope.

At menu bar Edit menu

Change Release Satus -> object type component -> To implmented

Dont Release only Implemnted.

Then change Release Satus -> Obejct type ->To impleted,

Then change Release Satus -> Obejct type ->To Released,

Hello Newb To Abap,

I had performed the steps as suggested ,

At menu bar Edit menu

Change Release Satus -> object type component -> To implmented

when I am trying to do

Then change Release Satus -> Obejct type ->To impleted, I am getting the below error

Object type components have higher release level than object type

Can any one please explain what does these release statuses mean and what is the process to be followed when a new method is created .

Hi, Ramya.

1. All new methods/attributes/events,... of your custom object must be implemented or released. You can check the status of the method in the popup window (see below):

2. Your custom business object must be generated and released (or at least impemented) too.

You can change the status of your object only after you have changed the statuses of all your custom methods / attributes / ... (see 1 above).

The procedure of changing the release status is the same both for the object and the method:

3. Generate the object.

4. Once you have finished, you can test your methods.

For this you can press the button.

If your method is instance method, you should at first create an instance.

Press the Instance button. In the popup window enter the key values and press the key button.
