SAP note implimentation

Hi All,

I have to do one OSS note implementation. Here the note is :2133584. Inside i have to do some code changes inside message display subroutine. But as we know this is a standard program. When i am going to edit it is asking for access key. Can we get the access key or any other way is there to impliment the note... Please guide me...

Basis team will provide the access key.....

We had a same situation in our project but the basis team agreed to provide us with access key.

You dont need access key to implement OSS note and make changes in standard program.

Just implement the OSS note from SNOTE transaction and changes will reflect in program.

Only if it is mentioned to do manual changes in standard program then you have to take access key.

Hi Satya ,

Even though its a standard SAP program , since its a manual step suggested by SAP as a part of Note , we can do it by providing the access key.

For getting the access key you need to reach out to the Basis team .

How to know it is manual changes or auto changes...

The note itself is telling to change the program.

Manual changes will always be mentioned in the note separately.

In this case, you just have to implement the note directly from SNOTE transaction.

Manual step - > Access key may be required
Automatic step (Correction Instructions) -> No access key required

A manual step description should look like (Pre/Post-Implement)

Also when displaying the note in a browser, there is a shortcut to get some sscr keys (but often not every object alas)l

The 2133584 - Messages from availability check displayed several times doesn't contain any manual step, so execute SNOTE and implement note.

Hint: Take a look at 1668882 - Note Assistant: Important notes for SAP_BASIS 730,731,740,750 as well as online documentation at help.sap.com.

It's just asking if you read the note. It apparently has side effects, which may or may not require another note to be implemented.

Did you read the note? Then just click 'Yes'.

(BTW Is this your first time using SNOTE?)

Not necessarily. Your team lead might have the access, or you might have the access yourself. Not all companies are set up in the same way. For example, for one of my clients, I get the access key myself.

Do try to think beyond the confines of your own workplace.
