topic Statistical Excise condition giving Dump in Application Development and Automation Discussions

D Friends,

The scenario is Deemed Export. Therefore Excise condition is statistical in pric procd (VF01). For testing purpose I've maintained Excise condition as 1000%. When I'm creating Excise Invoice (J1IIN), system is giving Runtime err: "Overflow during an arithmetic operation (type P) in program SAPMJ1IIN".

But when I maintain Excise condition as 999% then I'm able to create Excise Invoice. So my Query is that when Excise condition rate is 4 digit, system gives Runtime err. But if it is 3 digit, then it does not give any Runtime err. What is the logic/ setting behind it?

Although Excise condition is not 1000%, I know it is only 10%, but only for testing purpose I found this behaviour. So I'm only curious.

Pl explain if some body knows. I don't have any ABAPer.

Interestingly in case of domestic sales where Excise condition is real, then if Excise condition is maintained as 1000%, then system does not give any Runtime error and creates Excise Invoice.

Thank you.
