How to add custom fields to standard structure---errors

Hi Folks,

I have a requirement: in SAP EWM to add custom fields to standard structure /SCWM/S_PI_DOC_HIST_SER

The standard structure has enhancement category "Can be enhanced (Character type)" so I have used append structure option to add the custom fields(ZZ***) which are char type and numeric type.

while activating this append structure I am getting below error messages even thought I have changed different options in enhancement category and activated still getting below errors:

TABL /SCWM/S_PI_DOC_HIST_SER is inconsistent in active version

Check table /SCWM/S_PI_DOC_HIST_SER

Current enhancement category Can Be Enhanced (Char. Type) is incorrect

Check the following fields:

The following enhancement categories can be selected:

Can Be Enhanced (Numeric or Char. Type),Can Be Enhanced (Deep)

Check on table /SCWM/S_PI_DOC_HIST_SER resulted in errors

Do you have any thought what is going on here???

hi,

goto SE14 tcode and use adjusted and active option and active ur table structure

Hi Suresh,

I have already checed SE14 to adjust the structure, but here mine is structure not a table.

in SE14 table can only be adjusted ....when I use structure the button adjust is not enabled.

Any other suggestions would be great.

Hi,

you have written "custom fields(ZZ***) which are char type and numeric type"

so could you try please choose another date element which has char, and try to active it,

Level	Category	Description
1	Not classified	The structure has no enhancement category
2	Cannot be enhanced	The structure cannot be enhanced
3	Can be enhanced (character-type)	All structure components and their enhancements must be character-type
4	Can be enhanced (character-type or numeric-type)	The structure and its enhancement cannot contain deep data types
5	Can be enhanced in any way	The structure and its enhancement can contain components with any data type

number 3, it means you have to define only char type.

if you have a field with P, or Int, , them you will get a syntax error.

Just try to repace it with char.

Check ur dataelement datatype of the field it should be a char data type.

-> isn't this something you could have elicited yourself with reasonable guesswork?

Thank you all your suggestions...

Here is my fix worked very well, the standard structure enhancement category is 'Char' I was trying to add Int1 then it was giving errors, now I took SAP Access key and changed the enhancement category to deep, then it has been activated without any issues.

so the solution is using sAP access key fixed the issue.
