Create Vendor vmd_ei_api=>maintain_bapi

Hi all,

While i create vendor using class and method vmd_ei_api=>maintain_bapi, i am unable to add Mobile number and email...

why and how could i do that?

Somebody suggested vendor_insert method but i am unable to call it because it is a private method.

Did you

Fill data/append records in VENDORS-CENTRAL_DATA-ADDRESS-COMMUNICATION-PHONE and SMTP
Get any error returned in ES_MASTER_DATA_DEFECTIVE and ES_MESSAGE_DEFECTIVE
Implement latest OSS notes on this API

Hi,

Did you populate the DATA and DATAX(Under PHONE-PHONE-CONTACT ) correctly?

Same for SMTP.

Also make sure parameter IV_TEST_RUN is NOT passed as 'X' and IV_COLLECT_MESSAGES = 'X' to get to know if you face any error.

I passed them correctly.

No error messages.

Note: I could insert email but not mobile number. Though i can insert land line with extension number.

Guys,

I am unable to add contacts data or partner data.... kindly help me with this.

Guys, i updated mobile number.

like this

passed mobile number to landline field and passed a value to this field "r_3_user".

lr_phone-contact-data-telephone = Mobilenumber. "mobile number to landline and say

lr_phone-contact-data-R_3_USER = '2'. "marking telephone as mobile number

lr_phone-contact-datax-R_3_USER = 'x'. "mobile

lr_phone-contact-datax-telephone = 'x'.

append lr_phone to lt_phone.

clear:

lr_phone-contact-data-R_3_USER,

lr_phone-contact-datax-R_3_USER.

and now i passed land line number to it again and inserted.

lr_phone-contact-data-telephone = landlinenumber.

lr_phone-contact-datax-telephone = 'x'.

append lr_phone to lt_phone.

This worked for me...

But still i have not closed it...

I need partner details in it...

When I get problem with this API (or the similar customer) I performs some test with XD02/XK02 and execute a test run with VMD_EI_API_EXTRACT=>GET_DATA and analyze returned structure, trying to replicate in my code the required values.

I did the same... i used xk02 added contact person's data and tried to extract...

i got all the data which i gave except contact person data.

my input was:

vendor number

task = U

I unable to create/update contact person's data using above mentioned class.

Nor i am able to get the data using VMD_EI_API_EXTRACT=>GET_DATA the contact person which i have added using tcode xk02.

Which version of SAP are you using?

To maintain contact person through VMD_EI_API=>MAINTAIN_BAPI

following business functions are need to activated.

CA_SUPPLIER_SOA

CA_BP_SOA

You can activate them from SFW5.

If you cannot use the transaction, you should contact your Basis team.

CA_BP_SOA contained MDG Component.
It seems that MDG is not installed to your environment.

I found alternative.

Can you activate LOG_ESOA_OPS_2 ?

In my understandings, switch 'VENDOR_SFWS_SC1' is need to be activated.

I think i achieved it.... once again i will test it and let you...

meanwhile how to extract the same data...

i tried doing the same VMD_EI_API_EXTRACT=>GET_DATA, i did not get contacts data.

Second thing, could you also explain what is that setting... do i have to be careful when i have this code in any other system which is not ehp 5.

I read ABAP source code

Functionally, if you activate following customizeing from IMG
you can extract contact person data with VMD_EI_API_EXTRACT=>GET_DATA.

Cross-Application Components > Master Data Synchronization > Customer/Vendor Integration > Business Partner Settings > Field Assignment for Customer Integration. > Assign Attributes > Contact Person > Activate Assignment of Contact Persons

These classes and settings I mentioned above are developed for "Customer Vendor Integration" scenario.
So, you should carefully evaluate the influence for your SAP system.
