Purchasing document has release indicator R (changes not possible)

I am getting above error in 'BAPI_PO_CHANGE'. I searched in different notes but unable to get correct answer.

How can I change Delivery indicator of released PO.

I tried 'BAPI_PO_CHANGE' and in that wa_poitemx-no_more_gr = 'X'.

But still I am getting 'Purchasing document has release indicator R (changes not possible)'.

Kindly tell me alternative way.

Hi,

First of all check manually in ME22N that are you able to change the PO release strategy for R (Release) to Unreleased or not. if you are able, to change then we check from BAPI side or not.

may be some enhancement or configuration restrict to being a unreleased PO with respect to release strategy.

I hope some API are their which help you to rest the release strategy.

or once cross check with your functional that is it possible or not for better understanding the process.
