Issue while creating purchase Info Record through BDC

Hi All,

I am trying to create Purchase Info Records using BDC.

But for some records, Net Price is non editable and value coming as 0.00

and an error message is coming "Field EINE-NETPR is not an inout field" while i am trying to fill it.

(Screen field for netpr is reuired.)

Please help me with this issue.

Hi Malvi,

You are trying to fill the value for the non-editable field and its throwing error mentioned by you.

In this case, please check with your functional consultant who can help you in defining the field properties at screen layout level from non-editable to optional in SPRO settings. So that you can run the BDC successfully.

Hi Gangadhar,

I already checked field properties in SPRO and it is not non-editable there. This issue is coming only while uploading data through BDC, however if i try to save same data through ME11 transaction, it is allowing me to save the data.

Hi Malvi,

As per my experience there can be two issues.Check them both-

1. Either your BDC recording is not correct. Take the recording and run a session via SM36 with correct data and see whether the PIR is getting created successfully or not.

2. There may be some types of PIR where field NETPR is not required and is non-editable but in your BDC code you are not considering this condition and trying to pass the data everytime.

Another thing which you can do is to run the BDC in foreground mode and see behavior.

Hi Ankit,

1) If i upload 100 records, one record is giving me this error, and rest 99 are getting upload correctly..So I dont think there can be any problem with the recording.

I have tried running error record in foreground..it is showing same behavior..Net Price field is not editable but for same record if i try creating manually, i can save it, no error in that case.

2) How can i check PIR to be created does not require NETPR, i mean how do i differenciate.
