topic BAdI before BOPF ? in Application Development and Automation Discussions

Hi,

We have recently activated a Business Function with extended invoicing / payment request management functionality: FI-AF-DPC (Additional Functions – Down Payment Chains). BAdIs are supplied as part of the application component to enhance reports and posting functions.

Question: if the customer uses BOPF we still use these Enhancements during implementation, correct ? Or does it depend on the customers' development strategy ?

In my research (not being a techie) I've watched

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaERME1RroI

45.34 min into this youtube from TechEd, the BOPF guru clarifies that BAdI, Enhancement spots are to be embraced when available. This would apply to DPC.

If logic does not exist as part of business suite, then BOPF is recommended – usually during new build/entire development applications.

please send me your thoughts.

regards, Natalie
