How to call ECATT script(s) into ABAP program?

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where i need to create Company code. For that i need to call multiple ECATT scripts for the following requirement:

Define Company Code.

Assign Company Code to Company.

Assign Company Code to Chart of Accounts.

Assign Company Code to Fiscal Year Variant.

Assign Company Code to Field Status Variant.

Enter Global Parameters.

Can Any one help me with step by step procedure how to call the ECATT scripts in ABAP program.

I don't think it could be possible ,

You can include ABAP Codes in eCATT scripts

but vice versa , I don't think its possible.

Look for other alternatives like using a BAPI within your ABAP code.

I guess BAPIs would be available for all of these Functions.

eCATT scripts are already existed.

I have to call all those scripts in the ABAP program.

I want to know how to call multiple scripts from single program.

I don't know that , I mean how to call a eCATT script from an ABAP Program.

No am asking that where you able to call a SINGLE script in any of your ABAP Program,

am curious to know this , reason being I think that its not possible.

From the below link i came to know that we can call eCATT script in the ABAP program.

Did you try to work out with it ?

I guess using the method explained above you should be able to call as many eCATT Scripts you want.

I think no other suitable alternative exists for this requirement apart from this.

The relavent scripts for below tasks are available at ecatt

(Define Company Code.

Assign Company Code to Company.

Assign Company Code to Chart of Accounts.

Assign Company Code to Fiscal Year Variant.

Assign Company Code to Field Status Variant.) how to call them into a ABAP program and by uploading one template i need to finish all the tasks.

Please help me if any one have solution to this task.

Does it possible to do all activities

1 .Define Company Code.

2. Assign Company Code to Company.

3. Assign Company Code to Chart of Accounts.

4. Assign Company Code to Fiscal Year Variant.

5. Assign Company Code to Field Status Variant.

By uploading the single template file contains all the fields data by executing the corresponding eCATT script.

Hi Kasi,

Have you tried to look at ECATT_EXECUTE function module?

If you have eCATT scripts, you can pass the following

to_execute-obj_lnr = <sequence number starting from 1>

to_execute-obj_type = ECSC

to_execute-obj_name = <name of script>

if you don't want to see output, specify

display_log = ''

log_txt = ''

i_supress_output = 'X'

Thanks for the reply.

I am using ECATT_EXECUTE function module to execute the eCATT scripts from my program with single template with required data.

Does it possible to execute all scripts( for example i have five scripts ) at a time. I mean is there any option available.

Please suggest me in this regards.

I'm sorry, I didn't read the thread carefully. Obviously, you have used the FM already.

To answer your question regarding executing those scripts at a time, you can pass all the scripts as TO_EXECUTE parameter because the parameter is a table type parameter.

If you have tried it and it does not work, is there any error you got or if the result is not as expected, what's the actual result and expected result?

What is the requirement to execute all the scripts at the same time? I think executing one test script using ECATT_EXECUTE FM at a time in correct order will achieve the same result as if you execute all the scripts at the same time. Please let me know if my understanding is incorrect.

Moreover, I am not quite sure when you mentioned template file. Is that an external variant that you want to use in test data container or test configuration?
