hi experts,

my reqeirment is that to change columm headings in alv list i tried in fieldcat_ln-seltext_s . but itsnot effecting. what can i do can any body help me..

Change SELTEXT_M and SELTEXT_L as well. That should show the difference.

check whether you are passing ref.field name and ref. table name in the field catalog. If you pass these two values to field cat., you can't change the column names and system will automatically takes the corresponding data element's name.

yes am passing field name and dataelement so what is the solution for this

Hi,

If you have your fieldcat targetting the table LVC_T_FCAT then you can show your heading by modifying the values of the following fields

<l_fieldcat>-coltext = text-t01.
<l_fieldcat>-scrtext_m = text-t01.
<l_fieldcat>-scrtext_s = text-t01.

What u can do is modify the fieldcat before displaying the ALV.

Here is sample code for that...

FORM f9002_modify_field_cat TABLES p_fieldcat STRUCTURE lvc_s_fcat.

FIELD-SYMBOLS : <lfs_fieldcat> TYPE lvc_s_fcat.

LOOP AT p_fieldcat ASSIGNING <lfs_fieldcat>.

CASE <lfs_fieldcat>-fieldname.

WHEN 'VBELN'.

<lfs_fieldcat>-coltext = text-105.

<lfs_fieldcat>-seltext = text-105.

WHEN 'POSNR'.

<lfs_fieldcat>-coltext = text-106.

<lfs_fieldcat>-seltext = text-106.

ENDCASE.

ENDLOOP.

ENDFORM. " f9002_modify_field_cat

Here Text elements are the names of fields u want to display

try with this <b>fieldcat-reptext_ddic</b> = text-001.

fieldcat is of type slis_t_fieldcat_alv.

1. but itsnot effecting.

2. u are right, we have to

give two things.

fieldcat-ddictxt = 'L'.

fieldcat-seltext_L = 'myvalue'

3. Then it will show headings.
