J1I5 Transaction problem

Hi All,

I am trying to capture excise invoice using J1IEX_C and update part1 using J1I5 and post excise invoice using J1IEX_P. In the selection screen of J1I5, I am entering company code, werks, excise group, material document, movement type, posting date and classification, radio buttons selected- Document post date, RG23A Part1. But the problem is I can execute the report only once for a date. For example if I execute the register for 05/11/2014 once , I cannot execute a second time today based on the same date. How often I can execute J1I5 Transaction?

Why the report is executed only once day why not second time?

Please brief the same in detail.

Hi Priya,

What is the error you are getting. I think its a warning message and you can proceed if there is any pending updation to be happened.

You will not get the output based on your selection, If there are no records that needs to be updated. When you execute it for the first time, are you allowed to update the record? Is it getting updated in Part1 table?

J1I5 is used to update the Part 1 table for the missing entries. It purely depends on your business processes that how often you should use J1I5. There is no such restriction to use J1I5.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I am able to execute J1I5 for the first time and part1 table J_1IPART1 is updated. But if I need to run a second time and if the posting date is the same as previous date its not allowing me to do so. If I change the date to another date I am able to do so. So why I cannot use the same date n no of times to update Part1. I debugged and saw there will be an entry when we execute the report for the first time in table J_2IEXDATE and each time this table gets updated when we execute the report and it checks if there is an entry for that particular date on that table and if its there the report does not execute. Please help is there some configurations I need to check or how I can resolve this to execute the report n of times or is this report designed like this that we can execute once a day.

I had tested in the system where it gives only warning message saying

Already updated for given period and register

Message no. 8I000

We have to click on "Enter" button to continue & when it comes to the table J_2IEXDATE it overrides the values in the table with the latest one(E.g: If it is same date means it updates the Latest time, suppose I had updated on 6/11/2014 at 14:20:01 when I update for the same date after 10 minutes it will be 14:30:01 in the field CPUTM).

If it is giving a error message for you please check whether they have converted this warning message to error message or what.

What is the exact issue. Did you receive any error message while you execute J1I5?

Are you sure that there is data that needs to be updated for the given selection parameters. If yes, you should get the output.

You said, you are giving the Material document besides Posting date. If this is the case, system checks whether the Part 1 is already exists. If not, it will allow you to run J1I5.

Share the screenshot if the problem persists.

Thanks for you solution. Yes you are correct. I was new to this transaction and was finding some difficulty whille executing. Actually I was automating the transaction and was not able to go to next screen. Please can you provide more details about this transaction. What are the validations we need to check because I found many reported errors while executing this transaction.

Now I am entering company code, werks, excise group, material document, movement type, posting date and classification, radio buttons selected- Document post date, RG23A Part1. How do I identify the classification. After capturing the excise invoice how can I identify the
classification. Please can you provide what I need to check and the minimum parameters I need to pass so there will be no mismatch of data.

I am trying to execute the J1I5 register again for the same date 06/11/2014 and its not allowing me to do so. Its giving this messgage.

Already updated for given period and register

The first and second time and I executed but now I am not able to execute it. Its more than 2 hours and still I am not able to execute for today. Please tell how I can overcome this and run the report normally.

Hi Priya,

Its just an warning message not a error message when you click on "Enter" button, system will allow which I had tried & tested.

Click on enter button.

and even if I press 'ENTER' its not going to next screen. Please find the attached screnshot of the error. I am creating the material document using 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' and no excise invoice details are captured using this FM. Please can you help me in moving ahead with the J1I5 transaction.

Hi Priya,

System might not be allowing because your are trying through the function module but system is allowing while executing manually.

Please refer this OSS note 412864 - User exit for RG23A/C and RG1 registers during J1I5

Hi Himavanth,

I tried manually also its the same problem. But if change the posting date of the material doc while executing the program in debug mode it will allow me to execute the J1I5 because now the date is different. But for same posting date again and again there is a problem. I don't know why since this is Standard SAP transaction and nobody else has this problem.

Hi Priya,

Try in different ways like give from & to posting dates remove material document number & try.

Try continuously clicking on "Enter" 3 or 4 times manually.

Still if it is not working means raise OSS note to SAP.

Thanks for your reply. I had tried with radio button SYSTEM DATE instead of posting date still the warning message is displayed but after entering two times I am able to execute the report. But with posting date and document date I cannot execute it more than once for same date. Anyway I will stick to system date. Many thanks for your help.
