Dear Matthew,

we have a website in .net which is created for our sales purpose.

This website is connected to our SAP through PI.

Everything happening in Website should be saved in SAP.

We want to do reverse PGi here after PGI commit work should be done which is not available in standard BAPi. So we have to make a copy.

If there is any other solution let me know.

Because we have to do reverse PGI commit, reverse delivery commit in a single BAPI.

Regards,

Arati

Dear Abaper,

For PI integration i want to create a Zbapi as a copy of standard bapi (WS_REVERSE_GOODS_ISSUE).

So that i can include commit statement and also add some coding as per client requirement.

I have copied the standard function Group (V51W) into a zfunction group. and also activated the same.

The function module is saved and activated but when i am doing reverse PGI it is throwing an error.

"Order 6001817 allocation qty incorrect. Analy

via report J_3asdrq"

Please suggest what is to be done. The standard bapi (WS_REVERSE_GOODS_ISSUE) is working fine but when i make a copy it is throwing error.

Thanks and Regards,

Arati

"Copy this BAPI and make changes to the copy" is not a requirement. It is a possible way of meeting a requirement.

Copying BAPIs (and indeed any SAP objects) is a profoundly bad idea. It is probably the worst way of meeting a requirement. Making direct changes to the object is to be preferred. For the hard of thinking these are some of the reasons why making a copy is a bad idea

1) Any changes made by your copy to data in the database is effectively the same as making direct changes. You've instantly lost support from SAP if it goes wrong.

2) You won't get any fixes from SAP for the copy.

3) If the original changes between releases, you may find the copy stops working, and you have to re-clone

4) You don't get any notification of the original changing.

So, going back to you requirement. What is it you are actually trying to achieve? What is the FUNCTIONAL requirement.

Create your own BAPI with the same interface as the SAP BAPI, that calls the SAP BAPI then does the commit.

FUNCTION mybapi.

CALL FUNCTION sapbapi.

CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'.

ENDFUNCTION.
