You may need to use a different font. Some fonts have each character take up the same amount of space; I think Courier may be one to try.

Hi,

I am displaying a text field on the layout having 40 chars. There is one more field next to this field.

When I maintain the value in the text field as say 'WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW' etc it takes more display space than when I maintain some normal text, it is displayed in its designated display space. However in case of such big characters 'WWW....' etc. the field takes more display space on screen and pushes the next field to right.

Is there some solution to this display problem.

Regards,

Shreyas

P.S. Help will be awarded.

reason : ithink capitals take mroe space

and so u can translate it to lower case

or reduce font size

is it in bold that also will take more space

mostly its because CAPITALISED letters take more space

regards

Harish
