Need To Install a Custom language.

Dear Experts,

Our Pro system have the default 2 languages installed on it. English and German.

we made some modifications in the English languages to match the Lang of the Main Country, and now we have branched out to some African countries

thats also have english as there master language but the modifications we made on the English lang will be confusing for them (Africans)

So i want to install another English language to be used by the African countries.

my question is : can i install 2 English langs ? or is there a language that its core is English but for the Africans ? and is the africans language supported by sap have english as its core or another thing ? and last thing what is the Customer reserved language ?

English - English United Kingdom

English - English United States

English - Middle Latin

English (Old) English, Old

English (Deseret)

Hi Achmed,
SAP supports in the standard UI one English only - this is American English.
However in a Unicode system there are many language keys based on EN with a local flavour (without any SAP content).
You can in fact see this in the attachment (supportedlanguages.zip) of SAP note 73606:

English English United Kingdom
English English Australia
English English Belize
English English Canada
English English Hong Kong SAR
English English India
English English Indonesia
English English Ireland
English English Jamaica
English English Malaysia
English English New Zealand
English English Philippines
English English Singapore
English English South Africa
English English Trinidad and Tobago
English English Zimbabwe

You can make use of these language keys by defining them in report RSCPINST and transaction SMLT and fully supplement these with EN. Then you need to change the modified texts within these logon languages.
Alternatively you can use Z1, which is a customer defined language key (see SAP note 112065).
Please note that all those non-standard language keys can cause problem when transfering data to other systems, where these language keys are not known !
