Need help on developing HR ABAP Reports.

Dear Guru's,

I am an ABAP consultant, but new to HR ABAP.

I have assignments to develop few reports based on HR. Since it might take some time to get help from HR Functional people, it will be helpful, if someone here can provide details on how to collect the required tables, link them and generate report.

1. My first requirement is to generate an leave summary report, which display the employee group, sub group, personal area, subarea, type of leave, start date, end date, number of days of leave, payroll days and used quota for a payroll period of employees based on the employment status.

2. My second requirement is to generate an salary variance report which fetches data like personnel data, organizational data, current employee action, annual salary, joining date, relieving date, previous month and current month basic, net, gross, and difference and the employee contract or permanent and date of the contract/permanent of a employee.

Any link/code would be highly helpful.

Hello SAP Seeker,

Here you have the HR tables:

SAP HR TABLES - Wiki - SCN Wiki

All personnel administration tables start with PA and the infotype number behind it.

All personnel development/OM tables start with HRP and infotype (e.g. 1000) behind it.

All recruitment tables start with PB and infotype number behind it.

As mentioned above, the PA infotype tables all begin with PA and are followed by the infotype number e.g. PA0001 for the Org Man infotype.

PA* - PA infotype tables

PCL* - HR clusters

PB* - recruitment tables

PCERT - payroll posting runs

Report in ABAP HR is different than in normal ABAP, in HR-ABAP we normally use Logical databases which allows us to use macros to fetch the required data.

For eg, macro RP_PROVIDE_FROM LAST Pnnnn <subtype> pn-begda pn-endda is used to fetch the latest record from PA infotype <nnnn> (can be used only when logical database is used).
