Selection screen regeneration issue in Module pool

Hi experts,

I have designed a module pool in which i have included a selection screen as sub screen , and for the scenario i need to give custom f4 help for the selection field for that i have included logic ,My issue is when ever i am changing other code in the programs (other screen logic) the selection screen is reverting back to normal ...again i have to do the flow logic and screen change of selection screen.

Suggest me how i can avoid this .

was the error, use some AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR {para|selcrit-low|selcrit-high} or PARAMETERS/SELECT-OPTIONS MATCHCODE OBJECT search_help statement, and your problem will vanish... (Edition of a generated object is hardly ever a good idea and never good practice)

Error is not about it Raymond i need to do multiple option also i need to change . so i need to modify the selection screen ..my problem is when ever iam activating the program selection screen modifications are reverting to default.

And that is standard behavior, generated object will be generated again at each activation (*). So which exact modification(s) did you put in the generated dynpro, you must never do that

You need but you are not allowed to, so you MUST do it in selection-screen definition, not thru screen painter.

Rich already wrote the answer, use FM SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT to disable ranges, e.g. just allow only EQ options so no range, no wildcard/pattern, ypu don't need to change generated dynpro, just call the FM in PBO (AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT)
