I have logged a note with OSS on the matter because I feel that we are missing the appropriate dll. I got the following reply: </P><P></P><P>-To connect to a Microsoft SQL Server, you must ensure that the ABAP report, which is connecting </P><P>-to an non-SAP MS SQL Server database, has to run with an Microsoft OS </P><P>-(Windows NT or Windows 2000). </P><P>-In other words: it doesn't matter which DBMS or which hardware a SAP- </P><P>-system uses, but the R/3 application server, on which the ABAP report </P><P>-runs, need to be installed on Microsoft OS. </P><P></P><P>What I would like to know is if anyone else has connected to an external db using DBCON, and if so am I heading in the right direction by getting the dll and applying it to the system?
