Problem with BADI HRBAS00INFTY

Hi everybody,

Customer wants that whenever an organizational unit in OM is created the SHORT field has to be mandatorily in capital letters. We are programming this in method AFTER_INPUT of BADI HRBAS00INFTY. We have just triggered an 'E' message when requirements meet.

The thing is an org unit can be created in transaction PPOME via right click on another, then choosing copy. A pop up subcreen appears and from there you copy the OU, which triggers our BADI.

Error is shown correctly but after that ANY action on the screen will take you out of the transaction (apparently nothing happens in ABAP since a /h won't show any code run).

We guess it has something to do with showing an error during PAI on a subscreen, we we are not able to know what the problem is and even if it has solution.

If in order to provide an answer you need any screenshots I can provide them.

What is the reason for wanting this? In hrp1000 you already have MC_SHORT which is always Uppercase.

Hi Glen,

It is a customer requisite, really the reason why the error is triggered is not important, question is if there's any problem with triggering an error in this BADI and PPOME copy object subscreen.

We have already opened a note to SAP and they insist it is a conslting problem, which means to me either BADI cannot be used as we are using it or we have done something wrong.
