Append Structure Fails activation DB trigger on table

Experts I had a request to append 5 character fields to BKPF and add the cooresponding screen changes in fv50. So like a good developer I went to our sandbox to create the append and work on field display before making changes in dev. Well after creating the append structure with the 5 character fields to BKPF I tried to activate and it failed Tabl BKPF not activated, Table change not possible. There is a DB trigger on the table. Table BKPF (Statements could not be generated). Ok I tried SE14 to correct and both Database Object and Runtime Database are inconsistent. They show the append fields but say they don't exist. So I deleted the append structure and tried to adjust in SE14 and the failure is the same TABLE change not possible because of a trigger existing on the data. So now I have a sandbox that dumps anytime BKPF is accessed in any transaction and I can't correct because of the trigger. I had our Oracle DBA remove temporarily the trigger mentioned in the error /1LT/00000418INS but no matter what I do remove or put back my append structure it will not activate and se14 states it is inconsisted and fails with the Trigger existing even after our dba said he removed?

any ideas?

How many fields do you need to append? In case of 1-2, instead of appending structure, you can try to use unused fields of BKPF like XREF1_HD or XREF2_HD

Also, are your sure the DBA was able to successfully remove the trigger? Try checking the dumps on what is still causing issues after the initial trigger was deleted.

but you can see in se11 the db structure

The log from activation is the same as if I run the database utility se14 error no trigger so I'm caught between a rock and a hard place

Can you check SPAU. If BKPF table is showing with error on it.?

Long text, the Oracle DBA says he removed the trugger and I tried removing structure I still get the same issue. Can I display the triggers on any given table within SAP? Looking into SPAU as well, Thanks guys for your help!

Did you actually execute SE14 when the trigger was removed, you should have either succeeded or got another message in activation log ?

To get list of active triggers use native-sql statement to read table ALL_TRIGGERS (click on link to get fields list/definition from Oracle Database Reference, you could also use view DBA_TRIGGER)

Ray that was the first thing that I did, The DBA said he removed it but its acting like nothing was removed. I will try the all_triggers to see if that sheds any light on this issue.

What modifications did the Basis do ?

It will be informative if you can explain in detail what is the cause and how Basis intrevention resolved that.

This was our sandbox they ended up rebuilding it, there was no issues appending our dev box. However as expected SLT failed in HANA due to the new field in BKPF. The Hana team had to rebuild the table to bring in the new field and repopulated the data.
